Compatibility, coverage, and choosing a plan.
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into a compatible device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you install a mobile plan by scanning a QR code or entering the supplied activation information.
Open your device settings and look for an option such as “Add eSIM”, “Add Cellular Plan”, or “SIM Manager”. You should also check the manufacturer's specification for your exact model and country variant. Some versions of the same phone model do not support eSIM.
Yes. A carrier-locked phone may reject an eSIM from another network. Contact your current mobile carrier before purchasing if you are unsure whether the device is unlocked.
Choose based on the length of your trip, expected daily data use, and whether you need calls or text messages. Check whether the displayed allowance is a total allowance or a daily allowance. Product information shown before checkout is the information that applies to your purchase.
Plans use Vietnamese mobile networks and generally work wherever the selected carrier has coverage. Signal and speed can vary because of location, buildings, terrain, network congestion, device capability, and local network conditions. Coverage is not guaranteed in every location.
Usually yes, if your phone supports dual SIM. You can keep your primary SIM active for calls or messages and use the Vietnam eSIM for mobile data. Disable data roaming on your primary SIM to reduce the risk of roaming charges from your home carrier.
No. Each eSIM should be installed on one compatible device only. If several travelers or devices need service, select the required quantity and install one delivered eSIM on each device.
Checkout, supported cards, and payment results.
We accept supported international Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and JCB cards through OnePay. Availability can depend on the card issuer and the configuration of the payment gateway.
Your email identifies your customer account and is used to send the payment confirmation, eSIM delivery information, and one-time login code. Entering the wrong address may prevent you from receiving or accessing your purchase.
No. Card details are entered on OnePay's hosted payment page. Our website receives the transaction result and limited payment reference information, not your full card number or card security code.
Common reasons include incorrect card details, insufficient funds, disabled international or online payments, failed 3D Secure verification, issuer fraud controls, or a temporary bank restriction. Contact your card issuer first, then create a new order and try again.
If payment was not completed, return to the website and create a new order. Do not rely on the abandoned order. If your bank shows a charge but you did not receive confirmation, contact support with your order number and payment evidence before paying again.
The website displays prices in USD. A sandbox or merchant account configured by OnePay for VND may show a converted VND amount at the gateway. A production merchant configured for USD will process the corresponding USD amount. Review the amount shown before confirming payment.
Yes. Select a product, choose the quantity before pressing Buy now, then complete one checkout. The order total is the unit price multiplied by the selected quantity.
Where and when to find your eSIM details.
After OnePay confirms a successful payment, we begin processing the order immediately. The thank-you page checks the order status automatically. When inventory is available and fulfillment completes, your eSIM details appear online and a delivery email is sent.
You receive a purchase confirmation after successful payment and a separate eSIM delivery email after fulfillment. Login codes are sent only when you request access to My eSIMs.
Processing can take longer if the payment result is still being confirmed or suitable inventory is temporarily unavailable. Keep the order page open for automatic updates. If it remains processing for an unusual length of time, contact support with the order number.
Check Spam, Junk, Promotions, and All Mail. Search for messages from Vietnam eSIM and confirm that you are checking the exact email used at checkout. You can also retrieve completed purchases through My eSIMs.
Depending on the product, delivery may include an ICCID, phone number, activation code, confirmation code, SM-DP+ address, and QR activation information. Not every plan uses every field.
Install safely before your trip.
Menu names vary by device and Android version.
If your delivery includes an SM-DP+ address and activation code, choose the manual entry option in your device's Add eSIM screen and enter the values exactly as shown. Do not add spaces or change capitalization unless instructed.
We recommend installing it before departure while you have reliable internet. Activation rules vary by product, so avoid enabling data or roaming until you are ready to use the plan unless the plan instructions say otherwise.
A camera normally cannot scan a QR code displayed on the same screen. Open the eSIM details on another device or computer. Some phones may support importing a QR image from Photos, but this depends on the device.
Confirm that you are installing the correct QR code on the intended device and that it has not already been installed. Restart the phone and try once more on stable Wi-Fi. Do not repeatedly scan it on different devices. If the issue continues, contact support before deleting anything.
Connect after installation.
Enable the Vietnam eSIM line, select it as the mobile data SIM, and enable data roaming for that eSIM if required. Wait several minutes for network registration. Airplane mode on/off or a device restart can help after arrival.
Many travel eSIM plans require data roaming to be enabled on the eSIM line. Enable it only for the Vietnam eSIM, and disable data roaming on your primary SIM unless you intentionally want to use your home carrier abroad.
Activation rules depend on the selected product and carrier. Some plans begin when the eSIM first connects to a supported network; others may follow different rules. Check the plan information and install only when appropriate.
Use your phone's mobile data statistics and reset them when you begin using the eSIM. Device statistics are estimates and may differ from carrier records.
Only when explicitly shown in the product details. Data-only products do not include conventional voice calls or text messages, although internet-based apps such as WhatsApp can work over mobile data.
Hotspot availability depends on the plan, carrier, and device. If hotspot is important for your trip, confirm the product conditions before purchase.
Steps to try when service is not working.
Make sure you are in Vietnam and within carrier coverage, then enable the eSIM and automatic network selection. Toggle airplane mode and restart the device. If automatic selection fails, contact support before manually choosing a network.
Move to an open area, toggle airplane mode, restart the device, and check whether the phone is using 4G/LTE or 5G. Speed can be affected by indoor coverage, congestion, location, the device, or a plan's fair-use limits.
Immediately disable mobile data and data roaming for the primary SIM. Set the Vietnam eSIM as the only mobile data line and disable “Allow Cellular Data Switching” or the equivalent option.
Most plans configure the APN automatically. Do not change it unless the product instructions or support team provides an exact APN. An incorrect APN can prevent data service.
Do not delete it. Many eSIM profiles can be downloaded only once. Contact support first and keep the profile installed while troubleshooting.
Send your order number, purchase email, device make and exact model, current location, screenshots of the eSIM/SIM settings and error message, and a list of troubleshooting steps already attempted. Never send full payment card details.
Secure access without a password.
Select “My eSIMs” in the website header, enter the email used for your order, and request a one-time passcode. Enter the code from your email to sign in.
The one-time passcode is valid for 30 minutes. Request a new code if it expires.
Verify the email spelling, check spam and junk folders, wait a few minutes, then request another code. Use the exact email address entered during checkout.
Orders are associated with the normalized checkout email. If a different or incorrectly typed email was used, it will not appear in the current account. Contact support with the order number and payment evidence.
When signed in, use the Logout button in the website header. Avoid leaving your account open on a shared device.
What to do when your plans change.
Contact support as soon as possible. Because eSIMs are digital products delivered automatically, cancellation or changes may no longer be possible after delivery, installation, activation, or use.
Examples include an incompatible or carrier-locked device, an incorrect checkout email, failure to follow installation instructions, deleting an installed eSIM, attempting installation on multiple devices, or an eSIM that has already been activated or used.
Email [email protected] with your order number, purchase email, device model, reason for the request, screenshots, and troubleshooting information. Please review the Refund Policy before submitting.
An approved refund is sent to the original payment method. The time required for it to appear depends on OnePay, the card network, and your issuing bank.
Our support team will be happy to help. Include your order number so we can find your purchase quickly.
